SHEQ Supervisor

Their head office is based in Wingfield; however, they also have sites at Dublin, Seaford and Newton, plus a presence in NSW and WA. An opportunity now exists for a SHEQ Supervisor to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

The Role

Reporting through to the National SHEQ Manager, the SHEQ Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all 4x SA based sites. Duties include:

• Undertaking and designing risk assessments and developing work instructions in consultation with workers
• Carrying out assigned tasks as defined in the SHEQ Management Action Plan
• Ensuring currency of work instructions and training materials
• Ensuring health surveillance programs are conducted in accordance with Environmental Management Plans, statutory and regulatory obligations
• Undertaking internal audits and workplace inspections to ensure safe systems or work are in place
• Supporting, coaching and training employees in risk assessments and implementation of controls
• Scheduling and supporting leaders to deliver toolbox meetings
• Facilitating Contractors and New Employee inductions
• Conducting investigations and ensuring quality of conclusions and corrective actions
• Creating SHEQ reports in accordance with the SHEQ Management and IWS business plans
• Undertaking other tasks required by the business in relation to the SHEQ function

About You

• SHEQ background – ideally within a blue-collar environment e.g. waste, manufacturing, infrastructure, logistics, oil & gas etc. plus appropriate qualifications
• Excellent understanding of relevant WHS legislation and the ability to apply it correctly
• Proven experience promoting and continuously improving a strong safety culture
• Comfortable working autonomously and creating and developing WHS processes as required by the business
• Full, unrestricted SA drivers license
