This role offers the opportunity to work in a vibrant & fast paced environment, supporting the payroll team in ensuring smooth and efficient payroll processes. They are currently seeking a Payroll Officer to join their team on a temporary 3-month basis, with the potential for extension.
The Role
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of a fortnightly pay run
- Interpreting and applying various Awards, regulations, and Enterprise Agreements
- Maintain accurate leave records and process Work Cover and Parental Leave payments
- Handle employee onboarding, offboarding, and employment condition changes
- Ensure compliance with payroll, taxation, and superannuation legislation
- Complete month-end and year-end payroll procedures, including STP reporting
- Communicate payroll matters effectively with employees
- Build and maintain positive relationships with employees and external stakeholders
About you
- Comfortable working autonomously and in a team environment
- Experience in processing medium to large payrolls
- Experience using the payroll system, Preceda
- Available with short notice, and able to work part time
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance
- Experience interpreting different Awards and Payroll legislation
