An opportunity now exists for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team based in Tonsley to manage a variety of finance duties.
The Role
Reporting through to the Finance Manager, your duties will include:
- Manage the accounts payable function ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices
- Liaise with suppliers, trade, and internal departments to address invoice variances and disputes in a professional and prompt manner
- Reconcile the creditors control ledger to supplier statements
- Generate weekly batch payment runs
- Process bank transactions including daily bank reconciliations and company credit card transactions
- Complete month-end reconciliations of general ledger and balance sheet accounts
- Prepare monthly and weekly cashflow reporting
- Assist with the preparation and lodgement of the monthly BAS
- Process the end-to-end payroll on a fortnightly & monthly basis, ensuring compliance with Awards, agreements, policies and legalisation
- Perform payment calculations for backpays, adjustments, leave, WorkCover, terminations, redundancies and deductions
- Act as the point of contact for payroll-related queries, providing prompt service and resolution
- Process monthly statutory payments and reconciliations for PAYG, Super, Workcover and Payroll Tax in accordance with required timeframes
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and ad hoc tasks as required by the finance division
About You
- Proven experience working in a finance or bookkeeping position where you’ve had a broad scope of responsibilities, including payroll
- Comfortable liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders with exceptional verbal and written skills
- Experience working with Pronto Accounting & Payroll system will be highly regarded – but is not essential to be considered
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
