An opportunity now exists for an In-house Solicitor to join their legal team.
The Role
The Solicitor is responsible for supporting the Head of Legal to prioritise and manage the organisations legal services which includes the conduct of complex and sensitive legal matters.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing legal and legal policy advice through and under the Head of Legal and assisting with managing and monitoring external referrals.
- Undertaking priority legal work with particular focus on advice related to development projects.
- Collaboratively addressing legal issues and developing solutions.
- Assisting with ensuring the organisations compliance with governance requirements and legislative and regulatory changes.
- Under guidance, identifying strategies for resolving emerging legal issues.
- Providing high-quality and responsive legal advice and actions to support Executives and senior management.
- Ensuring client service excellence.
- Act as an efficient first point of contact for legal matters.
- Contribute to legal related projects.
About You
- A degree in Law and admitted as a Legal Practitioner.
- Current practicing certificate from the Law Society of South Australia (restrictions may apply).
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information clearly and simply to a range of audiences.
- Demonstrated technical legal ability and skill level commensurate with the primary outcomes and responsibilities.
- Ability to contribute to a team environment and manage a demanding workload and changing priorities.
- Ability to provide practical, solution-focused legal advice to resolve complex organisational issues.
- Ability to critically analyse issues and investigate solutions or actions that contribute to improved organisational processes.
